There are
two kinds of Sport Quad owners: those who wear blue jeans to ride and those
who wear Motocross apparel. This
review is for the latter of the two.
We received our A.R.C.
(Advanced Rider Coverage) Corona pants from Rocky
Mountain ATV and the first thing we noticed was the quality of them. All the seams are double-stitched except for the high wear
areas where they are triple-stitched. They
are made of 840 Denier nylon with a full mesh liner. The fit and finish are superb.
We did notice the lack of a traditional button or snap above the
zipper. The zipper comes to the
top and a flap goes across it and attaches with a square of Velcro.
We would like to see a traditional button or snap added.
The waist size is somewhat adjustable via a Velcro strap at the rear of
the pants and two stretch panels located one on each side.
We could not wait to hit the
dunes in our new pants, jersey, and gloves.
I first rode in blue jeans and then changed to the Corona pants to test
the difference in comfort. The blue jeans were just that... blue jeans.
They do not flow air at all. I then changed clothes (the looks I got in
the parking lot were astounding) and put on the Corona pants.
I went out for a spin and wow, what a difference.
The Corona pants allowed air to flow through them keeping me cooler and
let's face it you also want to look good while riding.
A.R.C. Corona is an Italian made brand that is
exclusively distributed by Rocky
Mountain ATV. The Retail
price is $64.99 plus shipping, but we were lucky enough to get them on sale
for $49.99 plus shipping. With Rocky Mountain ATV's no risk apparel
policy you can order an item and return it if it does not fit.
They will pay the return shipping and the shipping of the replacement
item as well.
